Sen. Ted Cruz Calls out Romney & JEB

(AP Photo/David Goldman)

Senator Ted Cruz lit the place up when he said, “If this deal goes through, the Obama administration, President Obama, Hillary Clinton, John Kerry, will become the leading global financiers of radical Islamic terrorism.” After getting push-back from the GOP for his statements, he told Chad Hasty, “You know, one of the reasons Republicans keep getting clobbered is we have leaders like Mitt Romney and like Jeb Bush who are afraid to say that.”

FINALLY!  Someone in the GOP who gets it!  My admiration for Sen. Ted Cruz just exploded.

Obamacare Employees Will NOT Get Healthcare!

You just can’t make this stuff up folks.

One branch of that call center will be located in California’s Contra Costa County, where, reportedly, 7,000 people applied for the 204 jobs. According to the Contra Costa Times, however, “about half the jobs are part-time, with no health benefits — a stinging disappointment to workers and local politicians who believed the positions would be full-time.” The county supervisor, Karen Mitchoff, called the hiring process “a comedy of errors” and said she “never dreamed [the jobs] would be part-time.”

NJ Gov Christie is smarter than most Conservatives give him credit for.

So just before the 2012 election, a devastating hurricane hit the NY/NJ Shore.  Seaside Heights, one of NJ’s biggest tourist locations, was decimated.  We all saw the images of the roller coaster floating in the water.  Gov. Christie gave President Obama a great photo-op and snuggled up to the BigO just before the election.  Many Conservatives lost their minds, and actually blamed Christie for Obama’s 2012 win.  The simple truth of the matter is that Chris Christie knew whose rear end he had to kiss to make sure the people of his state were taken care off. The Jersey Shore got it’s federal dollars, and today is back up and running, just in time for the summer tourist season.  It’s not all perfect, but it’s much better off than it was in November 2012.  Meanwhile, locations in New York, where Gov. Bloomberg did NOT kiss up to BigO, are still decimated.

Now, a bunch of GOP & conservatives are pissed at NJ Gov. Chris Christie for not just appointing a Republican to fill the slot of recently deceased Sen. Lautenberg.  Turns out, there’s good reason why Christie shouldn’t – NJ Special Election Law is all kinds of FUBAR:

New Jersey law has conflicting provisions on how long a governor’s Senate appointment can last until an election. In this case, it meant either this November or next. (I won’t go into all the details, but this provision suggests he could put it off til the general election in 2014, and this one appears to require that it be done in the 2013 general election.)

Christie might have helped out the national party (marginally) by sticking to his 2014 guns and appointing someone in the meantime, but he would have faced a messy political court battle which he might have lost. Do you want to be the governor who went to court to prevent an election from happening? And what if you lose on top of it all, in your own reelection year?

So instead, Christie rendered the legal dispute moot by doing something that both of the conflicting provisions allow him to do as an alternative — he called a special election. And in doing so, he went with the strict letter of the law in calling it for October 16. Contrary to what some are saying today, he could not have chosen November 5, even if he had wanted to.

UPDATED: IRS also targets States run by Conservatives

AG & Gubernatorial Candidate Ken Cuccinelli says that the Federal Government is holding onto money owed VA for Medicare Fraud.

“Later, Treasury officials told us they wouldn’t even turn over the $95 million because of the sequester. This is despite the fact that it’s not federal money, but money that a private defendant paid to settle a case – money which was to be turned over shortly thereafter to our office and the other agencies involved in the investigation,” Cuccinelli says in the attorney general’s release. “Now the hold-up is the IRS, which, according to the Treasury Department, refuses to complete its paperwork so the money can be properly distributed,” he continued. “…It doesn’t take a year to complete the paperwork.”

So it now seems that the IRS is also targeting states run by conservatives. But then again, we already knew the Obama Administration was targeting Virginia. That was obvious when they shut down JFCOM the way they did, among other things.

UPDATE:  Because Ken Cuccinelli gets results:

Calling out the Internal Revenue Service, Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli on Wednesday said the federal agency was past due in returning $115 million to the state.

Hours later, Cuccinelli’s office announced that federal officials pledged to settle up.

Is this Obama’s planned distraction from Scandalpalooza?

President Barack Obama has revealed the US has seen evidence of chemical weapons being used in Syria.

His announcement comes as Russia sends in advanced missiles to Syria in a move that highlights the depth of its support for President Bashar al-Assad.

Remember when Bill Clinton bombed an asprin factory in Sudan to distract us all from Monica news?

Scandal-palooza!

Wow. So much has broken in the past few days, it feels like we are being purposefully swamped with one thing after another to keep us yelling, “Squirrel!” Honestly, my head is spinning trying to keep up with all the different scandals, and boy howdy are there plenty of scandals. They keep rolling in all Fast And Furious like. Heh, see what I did there? Fast and Furious is still UNRESOLVED, and the families of Brian Terry, Jamie Zapata, and countless Mexicans deserve answers from AG Eric Holder & the Obama Administration. Answers they very likely will never get.

The EPA apparently charged conservative groups for FOIA requests, but “forgave” the fee for any liberal groups that asked for information. They’ve also been looking the other way A LOT when it comes to wind farms killing endangered birds.

There’s Umbrella-gate, where the President had a couple of United States Marines break their uniform code to hold umbrellas over his head & the head of the Turkish Prime Minister. In a stunning display of disrespect for the Marines. he actually said he wanted them because, “They’ll look good next to us.” (Video is at the link.)

Kathleen Sebulius over at Health and Human Services has been exposed for leaning on companies the HHS does business with and “encouraging” them to donate to non-profit organizations that have been helping to implement Obamacare.

The DOJ seized phone records of reporters at the AP (Associated Press), both work and personal phones. The official story is that they were trying to track down the source of a dangerous leak that compromised national security. The truth – the AP sat on the story for 5 days before getting the all clear from the CIA. The Obama Admin was upset that AP stole their thunder by publishing when they did. The scariest part of this story though, is not the AP records seizure. It’s that the records could be seized without notifying anyone because the phone company was considered a “third party”. Think about what this means for all that information being stored in the cloud, and how more and more we are being pushed into storing our information in the cloud by companies like Microsoft & Google, both of which are well known for working with the government whenever they get asked.

Then there is the IRS targeting of conservative groups, like our very own Hampton Roads Tea Party. But as we quickly found out, it wasn’t just conservative groups, but religious groups, Jewish groups, and even some reporters who had dared to ask a tough question before the election. In the case of Larry Connors of MO, not only was he likely targeted, he was forced to read a retraction on air, he has been thrown under the bus and kicked off the air by the parent company of his station, because it’s run by Obama sympathizers. Despite the administration’s pathetic attempt at a narrative claiming this was some rouge operatives in the lower levels of the IRS’s Cincinnati office, top officials within the IRS knew about this since at least 2011. And if that’s not enough, the word is out now that the woman in charge of the Non-Profit Approval division has not only NOT been fired, but she was promoted! She’s now in charge of the Obamacare division of the IRS. Seriously folks, you can’t make this stuff up.

But all of those are just the A-1 Steak Sauce of this meal. The Benghazi scandal is the real meat and potatoes. Four dead Americans, and a HUGE coverup. Enough of the emails have been released to thoroughly disprove the administration’s narrative. They claimed that only 1 small edit was made to the talking points by the executive branch (which includes the State Dept), but evidence now shows that the White House was involved in edits so drastic, the then-chief of the CIA said, “Frankly, I’d just as soon not use this[.]” We’ve also discovered that the brother of a White House Official tied to the Benghazi scandal is non other than the President of CBS News.

It’s no wonder my head is reeling. But realize this, Benghazi was covered up to protect the President just months before the 2012 elections. The IRS targeted groups ahead of the election, making it hard for them to do business. The AP was likely investigated because they blew Obama’s planned victory dance, just months before the election. And the IRS, EPA, HHS, & AP scandals were all released, back-to-back, to provide distraction from testimony of the survivors of the terror attack at the Benghazi Consulate. To top it all off, a Drudge Report editor claims his source at the CIA says there will be more.

Wonder what will be next?
