VA GOP Strategist Whored Himself Out

So, fresh on the heels of yesterday’s revelation about Governor Terry McAuliffe’s relationship with Virginia GOP Strategist Boyd Marcus, we find out that Mr. Marcus had tried to sell himself to Cuccinelli after Bill Bolling withdrew from the race.  But, as we all know, Boyd Marcus ultimately decided to throw his support to the Democrat, Terry McAuliffe, for what we now know was $140,000 and a potential appointment to a position that pays 3 figures.  Essentially, Marcus sold himself to the highest bidder, regardless of party affiliation. (Emphasis mine)

The new governor appointed Marcus to the ABC Board, a coveted job that pays over $100,000 a year. But the consultant has yet to be confirmed by the GOP-led House of Delegates. Republicans have argued that the posting amounts to a political payoff. Marcus also approached the GOP candidate’s campaign, according to an email to Cuccinelli consultant Chris LaCivita, asking for a $75,000 to $100,000 salary.

Marcus had worked earlier in the cycle for then-lieutenant governor Bill Bolling, whom Cuccinelli beat out for the Republican nomination in a convention. Virginia Public Access Project records show that Bolling paid Marcus $108,129 for consulting and list access.

Bill Clinton’s Protege’s Involved in Potential Scandal

So, it looks like VA GOP turncoat Boyd Marcus was given $140,000 by newly minted Governor McAuliffe’s campaign AFTER he endorsed McAuliffe — and was subsequently put on the ABC board by McAuliffe. But that’s not the scandal. However, McDonnell’s wife stringing Jonnie William’s along is sooooo teh scandaloso!

“Longtime GOP operative Boyd Marcus surprised many political observers last year when he endorsed Democrat Terry McAuliffe for governor after, some Republican insiders claim, GOP nominee Ken Cuccinelli rejected Marcus’ attempts to peddle his consulting services.

Marcus ended up on the payroll of McAuliffe’s campaign to the tune of $140,000, then landed after the election in one of the cushiest of political seats: a spot on the Alcoholic Beverage Control board, at an annual salary of $130,000. That appointment by McAuliffe requires General Assembly confirmation — and may yet get scuttled by GOP lawmakers who find Marcus’ partisan transformation a little too greasy even by recent Richmond standards.

If indeed McDonnell’s actions are proved to be criminal and McAuliffe’s acceptable, Virginia needs to either rewrite its ethics laws from scratch or have none. We might as well revert to the late 19th century, when elected service was openly about patronage.”

IRS Still Harassing Tea Party Patriots

By: Cliff

The initial firestorm surrounding the Internal Revenue Service’s targeting of conservative groups may have subsided, but tea party leaders say the situation has only become worse and may lead to more lawsuits against the embattled agency.New documents show the depth of information the IRS is seeking from Tea Party Patriots, a leading conservative group that first applied for 501(c)(4) tax-exempt status in late 2010 and one of many organizations singled out for extra scrutiny by the Obama administration.

An IRS letter sent to the group last week and obtained by The Washington Times contains a laundry list of requests related to virtually all the group’s activities, including its involvement in the 2012 election cycle and its get-out-the-vote efforts, fundraising activities, all radio and TV advertising, and other information.

The IRS also is asking for detailed financial records, including “the amounts and percentages of your total expenses that were for fundraising activities in the tax year 2011, 2012 and 2013.”

Hampton Roads Tea Party works with the Tea Party Patriots whenever possible. HRTP was also targeted by the IRS. We have since received our 501(c)(4), but because of our experience, we are in the process of joining the American Center of Law and Justice lawsuit.

Clerical Error, Not Voter Fraud

Chris Dove claimed voter fraud at the last city council meeting. Turns out, there were about 15 houses on his street that were sent registration cards with the wrong precinct name on it.

I must disclose, I’ve met with Susan Saunders. She is a nice woman, and does not strike me as the kind of woman who would sabotage her career just to keep someone in their council seat, as Chris Dove alleged at council meeting.

Dove did tell the paper that he was glad to hear it was just a clerical error, and since neither of those districts have had a district-related election since the redistricting, no election outcomes are in question.

Thanks to a big heads up from Chris Dove, the error is being corrected, and new cards issued.

UPDATED: IRS also targets States run by Conservatives

AG & Gubernatorial Candidate Ken Cuccinelli says that the Federal Government is holding onto money owed VA for Medicare Fraud.

“Later, Treasury officials told us they wouldn’t even turn over the $95 million because of the sequester. This is despite the fact that it’s not federal money, but money that a private defendant paid to settle a case – money which was to be turned over shortly thereafter to our office and the other agencies involved in the investigation,” Cuccinelli says in the attorney general’s release. “Now the hold-up is the IRS, which, according to the Treasury Department, refuses to complete its paperwork so the money can be properly distributed,” he continued. “…It doesn’t take a year to complete the paperwork.”

So it now seems that the IRS is also targeting states run by conservatives. But then again, we already knew the Obama Administration was targeting Virginia. That was obvious when they shut down JFCOM the way they did, among other things.

UPDATE:  Because Ken Cuccinelli gets results:

Calling out the Internal Revenue Service, Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli on Wednesday said the federal agency was past due in returning $115 million to the state.

Hours later, Cuccinelli’s office announced that federal officials pledged to settle up.

Susan Rice gets a promotion

UN Ambassador Susan Rice, who is heavily involved in the coverup of the deaths of 4 Americans in Benghazi, has not only not been punished, she just got promoted.

Ms. Rice has just been named as President Obama’s National Security Adviser.

Shaking up his national security team, President Barack Obama tapped diplomat Susan Rice as his national security adviser, defying Republicans who have vigorously criticized her faulty explanation about the attack on Americans in Benghazi, Libya.

“Susan is the consummate public servant – a patriot who puts her country first,” Obama said while announcing Rice’s appointment Wednesday during a Rose Garden ceremony.

Rice will take over the top national security post from Tom Donilon, who is resigning after four years in the White House.

Is this Obama’s planned distraction from Scandalpalooza?

President Barack Obama has revealed the US has seen evidence of chemical weapons being used in Syria.

His announcement comes as Russia sends in advanced missiles to Syria in a move that highlights the depth of its support for President Bashar al-Assad.

Scandal-palooza!

Wow. So much has broken in the past few days, it feels like we are being purposefully swamped with one thing after another to keep us yelling, “Squirrel!” Honestly, my head is spinning trying to keep up with all the different scandals, and boy howdy are there plenty of scandals. They keep rolling in all Fast And Furious like. Heh, see what I did there? Fast and Furious is still UNRESOLVED, and the families of Brian Terry, Jamie Zapata, and countless Mexicans deserve answers from AG Eric Holder & the Obama Administration. Answers they very likely will never get.

The EPA apparently charged conservative groups for FOIA requests, but “forgave” the fee for any liberal groups that asked for information. They’ve also been looking the other way A LOT when it comes to wind farms killing endangered birds.

There’s Umbrella-gate, where the President had a couple of United States Marines break their uniform code to hold umbrellas over his head & the head of the Turkish Prime Minister. In a stunning display of disrespect for the Marines. he actually said he wanted them because, “They’ll look good next to us.” (Video is at the link.)

Kathleen Sebulius over at Health and Human Services has been exposed for leaning on companies the HHS does business with and “encouraging” them to donate to non-profit organizations that have been helping to implement Obamacare.

The DOJ seized phone records of reporters at the AP (Associated Press), both work and personal phones. The official story is that they were trying to track down the source of a dangerous leak that compromised national security. The truth – the AP sat on the story for 5 days before getting the all clear from the CIA. The Obama Admin was upset that AP stole their thunder by publishing when they did. The scariest part of this story though, is not the AP records seizure. It’s that the records could be seized without notifying anyone because the phone company was considered a “third party”. Think about what this means for all that information being stored in the cloud, and how more and more we are being pushed into storing our information in the cloud by companies like Microsoft & Google, both of which are well known for working with the government whenever they get asked.

Then there is the IRS targeting of conservative groups, like our very own Hampton Roads Tea Party. But as we quickly found out, it wasn’t just conservative groups, but religious groups, Jewish groups, and even some reporters who had dared to ask a tough question before the election. In the case of Larry Connors of MO, not only was he likely targeted, he was forced to read a retraction on air, he has been thrown under the bus and kicked off the air by the parent company of his station, because it’s run by Obama sympathizers. Despite the administration’s pathetic attempt at a narrative claiming this was some rouge operatives in the lower levels of the IRS’s Cincinnati office, top officials within the IRS knew about this since at least 2011. And if that’s not enough, the word is out now that the woman in charge of the Non-Profit Approval division has not only NOT been fired, but she was promoted! She’s now in charge of the Obamacare division of the IRS. Seriously folks, you can’t make this stuff up.

But all of those are just the A-1 Steak Sauce of this meal. The Benghazi scandal is the real meat and potatoes. Four dead Americans, and a HUGE coverup. Enough of the emails have been released to thoroughly disprove the administration’s narrative. They claimed that only 1 small edit was made to the talking points by the executive branch (which includes the State Dept), but evidence now shows that the White House was involved in edits so drastic, the then-chief of the CIA said, “Frankly, I’d just as soon not use this[.]” We’ve also discovered that the brother of a White House Official tied to the Benghazi scandal is non other than the President of CBS News.

It’s no wonder my head is reeling. But realize this, Benghazi was covered up to protect the President just months before the 2012 elections. The IRS targeted groups ahead of the election, making it hard for them to do business. The AP was likely investigated because they blew Obama’s planned victory dance, just months before the election. And the IRS, EPA, HHS, & AP scandals were all released, back-to-back, to provide distraction from testimony of the survivors of the terror attack at the Benghazi Consulate. To top it all off, a Drudge Report editor claims his source at the CIA says there will be more.

Wonder what will be next?

Please pass the popcorn, this is gonna be good!

One day after Brietbart held a press conference at CPAC to announce the release of damning evidence in the Pigford scandal, he’s been hit with a lawsuit.  His response – bring it:

Andrew Breitbart said, in response to being sued, “I find it extremely telling that this lawsuit was brought almost seven months after the alleged incidents that caused a national media frenzy occurred. It is no coincidence that this lawsuit was filed one day after I held a press conference revealing audio proof of orchestrated and systemic Pigford fraud. I can promise you this: neither I, nor my journalistic websites, will or can be silenced by the institutional Left, which is obviously funding this lawsuit. I welcome the judicial discovery process, including finding out which groups are doing so.”

Jim Hoft, of Gateway Pundit, reveals that the woman suing Andrew is none other then Ms Shirley Sherrod herself.  Oh.  This is going to be awesome.
