Here’s my first layout in I don’t even know how long. While creating the graphics for the various blogs, Diva saw me dipping into my scrapbook stash. She especially liked the kit I used for her blog, and wanted to learn more about digital scrapbooking. So I whipped up a quick layout using the most recent photos of our dog, Peanut, in the snow. I use Photoshop, but Diva uses GIMP (due to license restrictions on my copy of Photoshop, otherwise she’d be using it too), so there is a bit of a learning curve, but she rocks GIMP almost as well as I rock Photoshop. She plans to post her layouts once she has enough to make a slider of them. I will let you know when that happens!
Meanwhile, here’s a layout of our pooch, Peanut, enjoying the snow in her new shirt. I made it from one of my husband’s old turtlenecks. Essentially, I cut down the sleeves, trimmed the bottom, and made a drawstring closure to keep it from getting in her way. She LOVES it. No more frozen belly while chasing the kids through the snow!

Journaling – June 25, 2010, I had my second foot surgery, this time on my left heel. After not eating all morning, I arrived at the surgery center waiting room, and what did they have playing on the TV? Food Network! Talk about torture! I was so glad when they called me back, I just wanted this done with so I could go home and eat! Dr. D. performed the surgery, & in abt an hour, it was done! Painful bone spur gone. Let the healing begin!

Journaling – Hopefully this will be the last foot surgery I’ll ever need. Afterwards, I was on crutches for two weeks. In that time, Tony took care of everything around the house, plus working his day job. The kids were also a great help. They did whatever I asked, and never complained.. I am so blessed. As much as I dislike using crutches, one thing is for sure. You get a really great arm work-out on those things! My biceps are rawking!
The picture is from July 2009, taken in the Parking lot of the Navy Base while we were waiting for the boat to show up and return our husbands to us.. It’s the only pic i have of us together… mostly because I don’t like having my picture taken. Still not sure how she talked me into taking this one. *S*

Yup. been a while. but it’s my blog… so… whatevs right? anyway… I’ve got a brand new look here @ DieCut Bytes. The theme is from SimplyWP, but I made the graphics my own. I used my “Keepsakes” kit, which was part of larger kit Scrap Outside the Box put together for Creating Keepsakes a few years back. The bow in the header however, is not mine. It comes from a kit by Anita Stergiou.
I’ve got some plans for this space… but that will have to wait. The holidays are here, and there are too many things that need doing.
My darling PinkDiva has decided to be a cheerleader for her brother’s soccer team. She doesn’t cheer loudly, but she stands on the sidelines with her little pom poms and watches the game. This kit by Heather Roselli comes along just in time!

I couldn’t find anything I liked in my stash, so I made something. Maybe I’ll put this “Zoo-licious” kit together and post it up here this weekend… but for right now, I must get some sleep!
