I did not watch it. Sorry Fox, LOST wins in this house. I just don’t see the point in watching an hour long show for 2 minutes worth of results. I get tired of the pimp-itude that AI becomes on results night. Last night was no exception. From what I read, they pimped Randy and Paula’s new single, “Dance Like There’s No Tomorrow.”
As for the actual results, I was 50-50. I called Amy Davis and Garrett Haley. I missed Joanne and Colton Berry. Garrett was a goner from the second he opened his mouth on the guys show. It’s got not so much to do with his lack of previous airtime, it’s got everything to do with his half-baked appearance. Amy Davis just did not cut it on Girls Night. Joanne was shaky, so I get her dismissal. Berry, I’m not so sure about. I thought he had nice energy the other night. Possible the lack of airtime ahead of time did indeed hurt him, and the fact that he was picked over Politi-kid, who had lots of airtime.
From what I read, Simon was pretty harsh to Colton, but then again, that’s why America loves Simon. A person can only have one of two reactions to what was said. The kids can either give up singing forever just like Simon said, or he can do his damnedest to prove Simon wrong, and wind up one of the hottest recording artists of the decade. Personally, I think Simon is just a tad bit bitter about PolitcalWannaBe getting dumped in favor of Colton Berry. He’s probably angry that Berry went out so fast because he believes Politi-Kid would have still been in this. Or, it could be a very Simon-esque way of trying to goad the kid into doing bigger and better things just to prove Simon wrong.
