His store was called &#8220;El Sombrero Rojo&#8221;. His nickname, Tacho, likely comes from his occupation. &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.spanishdict.com\/translate\/tacho\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Tacho<\/a>&#8221; refers to a bin, perhaps like one that could be used in the felt-making process. &nbsp;Fun fact: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.torbandreiner.com\/felt-history\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Mercury was used in the felt-making process<\/a>&nbsp;to smooth the felt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In early January 1910, Anastacio was introduced to Francisco Madero. &nbsp;Senor Madero must have made quite an impression, because &nbsp;Tacho helped to form the Culiac\u00e1n branch of Madero&#8217;s political party, the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Partido_Nacional_Antirreeleccionista\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Partido Nacional Antireelectionistas<\/a>.&nbsp; While his brother <a title=\"Domingo Benjamin Yuriar\" href=\"http:\/\/www.yuriar.com\/ancestry\/domingo-benjamin-yuriar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Benjamin<\/a> was fighting with Villa to free Mexico from the grip of&nbsp;Porfirio D\u00edaz, Anastasio choose to fight&nbsp;Porfirio D\u00edaz in the political arena.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"689\" data-src=\"http:\/\/www.yuriar.com\/ancestry\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/Anastcio-atwork-1024x689.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-235 lazyload\" data-srcset=\"https:\/\/www.yuriar.com\/ancestry\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/Anastcio-atwork-1024x689.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.yuriar.com\/ancestry\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/Anastcio-atwork-300x202.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.yuriar.com\/ancestry\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/Anastcio-atwork-768x517.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.yuriar.com\/ancestry\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/Anastcio-atwork-1536x1033.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/www.yuriar.com\/ancestry\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/Anastcio-atwork-2048x1377.jpg 2048w\" data-sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 1024px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 1024\/689;\" \/><figcaption>Anastcio at work. Librada and&nbsp;Anastasio had a falling out. &nbsp;She took the kids and left, eventually immigrating to the US. Maria Matilde died during the journey to America. He married her in March of 1919.&nbsp;According to their marriage license, they already had 3 daughters when they got married &#8211; Maria Lousia, Maria Elisa, &amp; Maria Rosa. After they married, they had several more children &#8211; Anastasio, Maria Carmen, Maria Aurora, and Julio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Family folklore has always said that he served as Mayor of Culiac\u00e1n for a while. &nbsp;However, according to the <a href=\"http:\/\/culiacan.gob.mx\/nuestro-municipio\/alcaldes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">city&#8217;s website<\/a>, he was never mayor. A pamphlet about the history of Culiac\u00e1n states that in December 1917 he lost an election for a council seat due to election fraud. The state congress appointed a someone else to disputed seat, however it&#8217;s possible that he won election as a councilman later in life. &nbsp;We do know that he was a delegate for something to do with farmers and agriculture in 1944 when he was shot &amp; killed by someone named Lencho. &nbsp;Lencho was caught and imprisoned for his crime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>&#8220;En una de tantas asambleas hizo acto de presencia don Lencho. Como buen manejador de armas dio muerte a balazos al joven delegado de la Agraria, que en vida llev\u00f3 el nombre de Anastacio Yuriar (era culichi). Cuando el malechor lleg\u00f3 a la asamblea la mayor\u00eda de los asistentes escucharon voz de s\u00faplica: &#8220;\u00a1No lo hagas, Lencho!&#8221;. Sobr\u00f3 quien dijera que fue do\u00f1a Serafina.
