Peanut’s Winter Coat

Items Used: Kay Miller’s Background & Snowman (color corrected to match better) from her Ice Capades Add-on kit. Dawn Inskip Brad (color corrected to match) & Gypsy’s Journaling block from the Christmas 2010 blog train at Scrapbook graphics. Text was written by me using my Wacom Bamboo Tablet.

Here’s my first layout in I don’t even know how long.  While creating the graphics for the various blogs, Diva saw me dipping into my scrapbook stash.  She especially liked the kit I used for her blog, and wanted to learn more about digital scrapbooking.  So I whipped up a quick layout using the most recent photos of our dog, Peanut, in the snow.  I use Photoshop, but Diva uses GIMP (due to license restrictions on my copy of Photoshop, otherwise she’d be using it too), so there is a bit of a learning curve, but she rocks GIMP almost as well as I rock Photoshop.   She plans to post her layouts once she has enough to make a slider of them.  I will let you know when that happens!

Meanwhile, here’s a layout of our pooch, Peanut, enjoying the snow in her new shirt.  I made it from one of my husband’s old turtlenecks.  Essentially, I cut down the sleeves, trimmed the bottom, and made a drawstring closure to keep it from getting in her way.  She LOVES it. No more frozen belly while chasing the kids through the snow!
